We all have thousands of thoughts go through our mind each day, millions of thoughts in the course of a lifetime.
Yet far too often, we are only vaguely aware of this internal dialog. We have no conscious idea of how, or from where, these thoughts came to be.
What are you thinking right now?
Thoughts become things.
How you think determines how you will be in the future. Therefore, it is imperative that you be aware of your thoughts, and direct them to reflect where you want to go in life.
What is Abundant Thinking?
Abundant thinking is a form of positive thinking. It is about creating a mindset of positive values that allow you to perceive your life as one of abundance, not one of deficit. It teaches you to flip your mental attitude coin from negative to positive and appreciate how much you have in your life to be grateful for.
However, it does not suggest that our gratitude should cause us to stop striving for more and just accept our lot in life. Instead, it teaches quite the opposite. By acknowledging how abundant our lives are already, our minds will embrace the concept that the good things in life are potentially unlimited.
What is Abundance?
Abundance means to be richly supplied, to be over-supplied. This means that we should have no fear of asking for more because we can be confident in its delivery. Abundance is a store that never runs out of its goods.
Abundant thinking is not just concerned with money, although there is a strong financial aspect that can be applied. It is a life philosophy. Where money is the issue, it is viewed as a tool that allows a better quality of life to be achieved – not just the material aspects, but more importantly, the freedom to spend time doing the things that matter with the people that matter.
Abundance thinking may not relate to money at all. It can even negate the willful drive for extra finances, especially where that works against the more important aspects of life, such as love and family. We all know of rich, unhappy people. We read about them every day in the newspapers and see on the television people who have a clear abundance of finances but who are bereft emotionally.
Abundant thinking is all about changing how you view your personal circumstances so that you can change how you view the world at large.
In upcoming posts, we will be exploring abundant thinking and how you can use it to live the life of your dreams!
Today’s quote has a tremendous amount of meaning to me. After months in intensive care and other hospital facilities, and with many more months of the same to come, I was feeling at a low point. Things were bleak, and improvements seemed minimal, if they existed at all. It was a dark time.
One nurse I had was wonderful. I looked forward to her days on duty, eagerly anticipating her arrival and visits to my room throughout the day. She was one of the bright spots in the gloom.
When I confided in her that sometimes I wasn’t sure it was worth the struggle, she shared this quote with me:
I repeated those words over and over in my mind… and still do.
The only way to get out of a bad situation is to keep going. The only way to get to where you want to be is to keep going. As long as you keep going, you are not stopped.
If things don’t look promising where you are right now in life, keep going.
If you dream of better health, more love, a life free of lack and want…keep going.
These words had a lot to do with my very survival, and the recovery that I have been blessed with. I hope they serve you even half as well as they have served me.
